What is globalization and how has it affected my life?

             ‘’Globalization’’  is a term, describing the increased movement of goods, knowledge and ideas across national borders. This has caused a fundamental change in world’s policies, economy, culture and social life. Globalization is also considered as ‘’modernization’’. Тhis flow of ideas and knowledge is unstoppable and by looking around- I can see globalization everywhere.  It has become an indispensable part of our daily lives.
                In terms of technology, globalization has affected most of the world. A universal example for it is simply the most widespread thing – Internet. Nowadays, it is just impossible for us to imagine a life without it and, thanks to it, globalization has an easier way for spreading more and more. Our daily communication with people from every corner of the planet, the access to different types of information and ideas, and even the access to pleasurable components like music, movies, books, etc. – they are all due to the globalization.
               Globalization gives us the opportunity to interact with various cultures and this is how our own culture is enriched. Food is a simple example for cultural globalization. Nowadays, you are able to eat Sushi in a Bulgarian restaurant or if you are more into Italian cuisine – you can find pasta or pizza in almost every eatery. And how about Chinese food? … Thanks to globalization, we can afford a diverse selection of options.
              Another factor affected by the globalization is even our health. The development of it can improve access to the medicines, medical information, and training that can help, treat or cure various diseases. But it also has a negative side - with globalization, harmful products can bring disastrous implications worldwide.

             So, globalization has both – positive and negative side. We’re not able to stop its flow but we can simply learn how to make an advantage of its best by carefully analyzing its impacts.

Barbados Wildlife Reserve

The Barbados Wildlife Reserve is located in a natural mahogany wood across the road from the Farley Hill National Park in the northern parish of St. Peter.
Here you have a unique opportunity to stroll freely through the Reserve watching the animals at close range and in their own natural environment. There are few cages and the animals can be observed as they eat, play and interact with the other animals

  • What types of animals will you spot here?

1. The Barbados Green Monkeys are common and are especially popular at the afternoon feeding time. Note that the monkeys are free to leave the reserve and often do so during the day.

2. Birds vary from colourful parrots, flamingoes and peacocks to brown pelicans and sparrows. The walk-through aviary is a special treat!

3. Reptile lovers will appreciate the collection of snakes (these are in cages!), iguanas, turtles and tortoises.

4. Non-native animals include the Brocket Deer, agouti, caiman (looks like an alligator) and armadillo.

Why do I want to visit this wildlife reserve?

Well, pretty much because I really love animals of any kind (except snakes [EW.]) and seeing them in their natural habitat really brings me pleasure. I appreciate the fact that there are people , who are willing to help the animals and  do their best for providing good conditions for a wildlife. Also, I love travelling and this would be a great opportunity for a new journey.

Yaaaay ~ I'm going to visit Tokyo! ^^

Here is my itinerary:

1. I am going to travel by plane. The distance is enormous, so I have no other choice. The airline company, which I'm going to travel with, is called 'StarFlyer'.

2. I have already booked a room in a hotel called 'The Peninsula'. It is very expensive and luxurious and it's exactly what I want.

3. I must not forget to take my passport, mini-map, a lot of money, some food and last but not least - the airline tickets.

4. The plane takes off on 24th of December. I am staying there for ten days, which means I am coming back in Bulgaria on 4th January 2015.

5. I really want to prepare my luggage earlier, but I'm really lazy, so I'll probably pack it the night before. :D

6. When I arrive there, I'll surely need  to take some rest because of the long way, so my adventure will start on my second day in Tokyo. I will go on a walk around the city. There are a lot of attractions I want to visit, but first of all I am going to a place called Akihibara. This is a district for electronic and otaku goods, a.k.a my paradise. xD *-*

7. I will also go shopping, because I have to buy presents for my friends and family. And something for myself of course! xD

8. On 31st of December I'll be celebrating the New Year's Eve in one of the Tokyo gardens. There are going to be big crowds of people and we're all going to visit a shrine or temple at midnight. This is an important Japanese tradition. I have even got the perfect kimono for the event !

I am very excited about my trip! I'll bring a lot of photos and memories for sure ! Wait for me, Tokyo ! ^^

THE EMISSARY

Task - finish the story

http://www.newforestcentre.info/uploads/7/5/7/2/7572906/the_emissary.pdf

  (...) It was his favourite teacher - Miss Chun. He looked at her with a big surprise.
        "How is this possible?!'' Martin tought. "She died a long time ago! ... ''
   But now she was standing right there - in front of him. As he was staring at her, a part of her face broke and fell on the floor. It was her nose. Martin was frightened.
        "Excuse me for that!'' Miss Chun said. '' I am still getting used to losing parts of my body.'' She picked up her nose and added:  " Being a zombie is not easy, Martin."
         The boy was terrified, but his curiousity prevailed and he started a conversation.
        ''But... It cannot be real! Mum told me that people, who are dead, do not do anything!''
        ''Lies.'' denied the teacher. '' Can you imagine sitting under the ground without doing anything? That would be completely boring! "
        "But zombies exist only in movies!" The boy continued "They are not supposed to be real." he shook his head.
         Miss Chun giggled " Martin... you don't live in a movie, but i am here in front of you... So tell me, do I exist?''  She sat on his bed.
         Martin didn't say anything. He felt both excited and scared. A real zombie was standing there. He had a lot of questions to ask but he couldn't make up his mind.
        "But how did you escape from the grave?" He said finally after a few minutes of silence.
        "Oh, thanks to your dog. He dug some small holes in the ground which helped me a lot!" Dog barked happily.
        "Oh, Dog..... Why have you done that?! Now there is a real zombie in our town's streets...'' The boy said. For the first time ever he seemed dissapointed because of his best friend Dog.
         Miss Chun frowned "Don't be so rude, Martin. I have my reasons to be here! "
        ''Reasons? What reasons? Share them with me.'' the boy replied.
        ''I am just hungry." the zombie said and looked right into his eyes. She could see the fear inside them and she enjoyed it.
        And then suddenly two smelly hands grabbed Martin. The boy tried to escape, but he couldn't. It was too late for this. He was screaming, but there was no one to hear him, except Dog. But what could a simple dog do?
        A few minutes later there were no more child screams and crying. The zombie left the house quietly and returned to its grave. But Martin's body was still standing in his bed... Dead.
        At least Miss Chun was not hungry anymore... :)

Hey there, Mr. Philpot. Welcome to my totally weird and random blog ~

        So, after it took me about 29384738 hours to make its appearance... My blog is finally ready.
And to be honest - I have no idea what to write about in my first post. ._.
        Thank you for giving us this kind of homework tho'. I find it quite interesting and i guess that the others like it too. ^-^
       And since we are talking about that, here are two main things you have to know ( I think they are related to most of the students, including me) :

  •  You can give me 67 years to do my homework and I wouldn't do it until the night before. ( But I'll do it, I promise. :D )
  •   Instead of doing homework, I like to stay on my phone and worry about how much homework I have to do.

      Annnndd... that's all I have to write about the homework. xD

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
        As I can remember, you told us that we should write about ourselves. So, in the next few paragraphs, I will tell you something about me.
        My name is Iva, as you already know. I live in Sozopol. This is a town near Burgas, so I am travelling to school every day and to be honest - it is quite exhausting. Especially when I have to wake up at 5 am. However, that's my оbligation, so I'm used to it.
        Okay, so here is a list of a few things I love:
  •         First of all - Music. This is my passion. It is something that can help me feel better and express myself. And yes - I love my music taste and I don't expect from other people to like it, too. Different people - different tastes. But listening to it is not the only way to show my love to music - I actually sing and dance. I love doing it !
  •         Drawing - I want to improve myself at it, especially at drawing manga. And, in case you don't know what manga is  ---- > http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manga. By the way, here is a photo of my last ''masterpiece''. :D
  •         Anime - Okay. I really adore watching anime. I will never be too old for it, i swear. :D My favourite one is called Fairy Tail and I recommend it to all anime lovers. BLESS HIRO MASHIMA!! (its creator) :D ♥
  •         League of Legend - no words to say here. I just can't live without this game. :D ETERNAL LOVE. ♥
  •         Travelling - I've been to a lot of places, but there are still more and more to visit. One of my biggest dreams is to go to Japan. But it is so far away, so I'll probably have to wait a few more years for it to happen. xD
  •         Books and movies - Everybody loves these things, don't they? I mean... I can't imagine a life without watching movies or reading books. O.O That would be so boring. No, thanks.
        Anyway, I will stop here, because i thinк the post is getting extremly long. :D
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Well, i hope you like my first homework here. Maybe I will make some changes in the future... See ya! ^^ xD
